Week 26 Wrap Up

In my life this week…

We have so much going on!  Sarah and I have been training for a 5K coming up in May with our local Girls On The Run team.  This past Saturday, we had our trial 5K and finished in 45 minutes - our goal time!!  Shawn and the boys decided to join us and finished too.  There were hills, oh so many hills that we were not prepared for but we still did it!! Hopefully by May 11th, we can improve our time.  We are also gearing up for a night of Mother/Daughter camp coming up the end of April and add in dance recital, church plays, drama practice, and you get the picture - BUSY!

In our homeschool this week…

We have doubled up on a few days in order to meet our busy schedule.  That is one of my favorite things of homeschooling - easily adapting to life!  We finished up Week 26 of MFW and Week 23 of Classical Conversations (CC).  We only have one week left of CC in our community and it is extremely bittersweet.  We will not be returning to our community next year and we will miss them so much!  We have one of the greatest communities there is - to us THE greatest!  We need this though - a time to stay home more and spend more time with each other.  Jonathan will be a sophomore next year and I'm feeling the pressure to not waste a single moment of these last few years with him at home.

I’m grateful…

for chocolate peanut M&M's on clearance :)

Weeks 20-25

They were done, lol.  That's all I can say.  We have been busy but also taking it easy and enjoying each other during Spring Break which we celebrated for 2 half weeks.

Hopefully, I can get back on track with updating starting this week!

If you haven't taken my quick survey yet, please do so I'll know what motivation or inspiration you need.

If you are looking for meal planning inspiration, I highly recommend emeals!  I love the ease of having the planning done for me along with the grocery list.  This is our first full week of meals using the classic plan and shopping at Aldi.  We love all the meals!  Sometimes, I adjust them to fit our family such as Curry Chicken Salad.  I didn't have any curry and I didn't want to buy any so I just made chicken salad instead.  :)  I love that you can easily leave off a meal if you want as well.  The lists are extremely easy to adapt to any situation.  Here's a review I did for emeals last year.  My opinion is still the same - love it!

Now, here's to a brand new week and hopefully a brand new wrap up at the end. :)
